Here’s your chance to spend your summer working in a heritage building, just up from the wharf in the picturesque seaside town of Baddeck. We are seeking two outgoing, friendly, positive and enthusiastic interpretive guides to work in the Bras d’Or Lakes and Watershed Interpretive Centre. Your job will be welcoming visitors and guiding them through our educational displays about the cultural and ecological history of this one of a kind ecosystem. You should be comfortable talking to groups of people and able to answer questions about the Bras d’Or. A background in environmental studies, biology, ecology, history, cultural studies, education, and/or leadership experience would be a bonus. Pay is minimum wage, but you’ll have a great summer!!
(2 Positions) May 27 – August 31, 2012: Applicants must have been registered as a full time student at a post secondary institution and returning to the same institution in the fall, or transferring to another secondary institution, or a Grade XII graduate who has been accepted at a post-secondary institution full time in the fall. An interest in Environmental Science would be an asset. Closing date for applications – May 4, 2012.
