Interpretive Centre Opens for 11th Season

The Bras d’Or Preservation Nature Trust is glad to welcome Mitchell Brewer and Dennis McNeil to our team for the summer. They will have a busy season ahead, welcoming thousands of visitors to our Bras d’Or Lakes and Watershed Interpretive Centre. As interpretive guides, they will be sharing a wealth of information about the ecology of the Bras d’Or Lakes and the treasures found within the watershed. They will also share with visitors information about the challenges that face the area and ways in which we all can help to preserve and protect this unique ecosystem.

Our Interpretive Centre is now open 7 days a week from 9am to 7pm, located in the historic old post office at 532 Chebucto Street in downtown Baddeck. The current exhibit “Ecology of Bras d’Or” encourages visitors to look into the waters of the Bras d’Or and high into the sky above as they learn about the past, present and future of the Bras d’Or Lakes watershed.

Come down and visit us this year or recommend us to a guest or friend. We look forward to seeing you!
